| We released a new version of the Java Movie Database on Monday 2003-01-20.
This is now the 1.1 release, but newer versions are planned/currently worked on. All Users who use the 1.0 have to update to the new release (see changelog). The Java Movie Database (JMDB) is a Java program which stores the data from the IMDb Text files (Internet Movie Database) in several MySQL Tables. After you have imported the data, you can search for actors, movies, producers and actors. About the movies and people some details are shown. For more details look at the JMDB-Homepage! WPS-Wizard is an addon for the WPS which gives you freely configurable context menus for all filesystem objects. You may have different extended menus for different classes. For example iconfiles may have other menu extension than audiofiles. A REXX interface gives access to the WPS from user scripts. REXX callbacks may be used to add features to WPS objects similar to subclassing an object. New with V0.3.0 are toolbars for folders and object hints, both created using the new REXX callbacks. You may customize these features for different classes and even single objects. This means attach a REXX script to an object to perform special actions when requesting a menu or opening a folder. | Contacts Viewer is a freeware program that lets you search and view data from TAB-delimited ASCII-files. The original 1.x versions were made for OS/2 users who also use a Psion PDA. The program made it possible to access the Contacts data from the OS/2 desktop. Of course version 2.xx is still up to this task, but it can also be used to view data from other sources (i.e. files exported databases, spreadsheets and more).
Contacts Viewer works directly with the ASCII-file. It\'s not a database and there is no need to import data into the program. It\'s a viewer, which means you can not use this program to edit, delete or add new records. Contacts Viewer only reads information from the harddisk. It *never* writes anything to your disk. | Gotcha! is a (not so small anymore :-) utility for OS/2 which allows to easily capture windows, window interiors, parts of the screen or the whole desktop and save them to disk or clipboard as a picture.
In v1.73 the Multimedia library has been linked in a way that it was automatically loaded when Gotcha! started and Gotcha! therefore would not run on systems without MMIO.
