News.consultron.ca is back (from Jack Troughton)
Jack finally got a new feed. This has ended up necessitating completely replacing all of the public groups, to ensure a good sync with the public usenet feed.
Some of the posts may have vanished due to this, but there\'s not
much he can do about it now.

Because of the vast number of drive by spammings of the server, it
will no longer be open for posting. Instead, if someone wants to post,
he\'ll need to get a userid and password from him. Reading
will continue to be allowed to one and all, but posting will require
authentication. However, he is not going to charge for the
privelege of posting, and has no intention of doing so.

If one wants to get a uid/pwd combo, he is going to need some basic
information, such as:

Name
Email
City/Province/Country

He will not accept registrations from emails in the hotmail.com,
yahoo.com, etc domains; If one wants to get a userid, he\'ll have to provide a real address, not a throwaway web address.

To get a uid, send a message to support@consultron.ca with
the subject line \"News Server User Request\", including the
information listed above.

Any uid that is caught spamming will be terminated immediately,
without appeal or recourse, and absolutely without remorse.
Depending on the nature of the spam, he may pass any relevant
information about it to the user\'s provider, all the way on up to
any relevant law enforcement authorities, including such
institutions as SEC in case of stock manipulation, as well as more
traditional law enforcement authorities for other more mundane nasty
activities.

Alessandro Cantatore published an explanation (see URL below) on how to create Icons that fit the eComStation look and feel. The document includes lot\'s of icon templates.

We are interested to hear your opinion. Which tools do you use? Which icons of famous eCS applications should be improved? How do you value the quality of current eCS icons?
