installing os/2 on new computer along side Windows 2000 (from Polk ONeal, 00:08:38) ^
happen to have in my possesion a complete box set OS/2 Warp vertion 3. This set has never been used the diskettes are still sealed in there original containers. I wish to install this system on my computer. Any information you can give me will greatly be appreciated. I am running a Soyo KT-600 Vertion 2.0 mother board with an AMD 2700 processesor 512 mgb. of ram. plenty of hard disk space. I had os2 and windows 3.11 on my first computer. I actually ran Windows as a window in os/2 Warp. (this was the only way windows would actually work right on my system). When I upgraded my next computer to Windows 98 I lost my Warp. I recently found out OS/2 was still live and well because I am currently studying to get my MSCE certifacation. I found out that Windows Server 2000 supports OS/2 and so does Windows 2003.
Here is what I have on my system:

Re: installing os/2 on new computer along side Windows 2000 (from Ralf Hohlung, 18:15:49)
Hi Polk,
make sure to install windows FIRST, create a new drive (e.g. D:\ - it may be a logical drive) and install OS/2 or ECS on that new drive.
Let your boot-manger point on that drive and it should work. You can preferably use the OS/2 boot-manger for dual-boot cause I didnt experience any problems with that one concerning the boot-up of windows. It makes no difference to install the boot-manger at the beginning or the end of the disk.
