Bezahlt: OS/2 User Treffen 2014 (von: Sigurd)
Damit alles transparent und nachvollziehbar bleibt:

Ich habe soeben an die Jugendherberge überwiesen:

- Raummiete 180,00 Euro
- Beamermiete 25,00 Euro

Aus dem "Spendenaufkommen" der letzten Veranstaltung
konnten hiervon 165,00 Euro getragen werden. Allen

- 4 GB RAM
- 500GB SATA Samsung 7.200 8BM cache HDD
- Matrox PCIe 550 DualHead Grafikkarte
- LAN
- Parallelport

http://www.os2world.com/forum/index.php?topic=211.msg1683#msg1683

USB drivers for eComStation version 11.05 (Newsreader news.warpevents.eu/)

I have released version 11.05 of the USB drivers for eComStation.

This driver package is available for download from the eComStation BetaZone.

The change highlights are:

1. Isochronous transfers work now (thanks to Wim Brul)

2. I have included some of the class drivers in the distribution. Previously
only the HC drivers and USBD were included. These class drivers should be
exactly the same as what is already shipped with eCS. They have just been
recompiled and the version numbers have been updated. This is the first time
some of these drivers have been released in this way. Please open a ticket
if there are problems.

The 11.xx drivers undergo at least a week of QA testing before being released.
They are considered reliable and stable.

More information about the USB drivers can be found at:

http://class='extlink'http://svn.netlabs.org/usb

You can download this new release from the eComStation BetaZone.
First log in at http://class='extlink'http://www.ecomstation.com then click Access the BetaZone.

USBHC and USBD drivers for eComStation version 11.04 (Newsreader news.warpevents.eu/)

I have released version 11.04 of the USBHC and USBD drivers for eComStation.

This driver package is available for download from the eComStation BetaZone.

There are two branches for the USB drivers. Lars is working on the branch
that produces versions numbered 10.xxx. I will produce versions numbered
11.xx. Unfortunately, I released 10.192 and 10.193 from my branch before I
decided to change the version numbers to 11.xx and this has created some
confusion. To avoid further confusion, I have removed all the 10.xxx from the
BetaZone, and replaced them with equivalent 11.xx versions.

The primary focus for the 11.xx branch is to preserve stability and prevent
regressions while incorporating fixes as necessary. The 11.xx drivers are
thoroughly tested on a large number of systems in multiple configurations
before being released.

More information about the USB drivers can be found at:

http://class='extlink'http://svn.netlabs.org/usb

You can download this new release from the eComStation BetaZone.

http://home.hccnet.nl/w.m.brul/usbvideo/index.html

Beim Usertreffen in Köln könnt Ihr all dies LIVE "bewundern"!

eComStation for business (Newsreader news.warpevents.eu/)

What means aimed to organize work are available in eComStation?

* Chat for group of workers, located in different offices / cities - ?

* Generate tasks for workers - ?

* Queue of customers and N employees - ? How to give access to the queue (so employees can monitor the queue, change status of the orders)?

* Keep record of hardware / commodities (internal, without web-interface)

* Small phone call center: detect number, show information about the customer from DB.

17.08.2013
PSPRINT (PostScript printer driver) version 30.904 released (Newsreader news.warpevents.eu/)

PSPRINT is an updated, experimental version of the OS/2 PostScript driver. This is the fourth release, version number 30.904.

http://class='extlink'http://www.altsan.org/os2/printing/

While still technically described as a ’preview’ release, this version
should be noticably more reliable than previous ones. For this reason,
the release is being announced publically, and has been uploaded to Hobbes. (I do not, however, promise it to be perfectly bug-free.)

Besides a number of small fixes designed to improve compatibility with CUPS, PSPRINT’s signature feature is support for TrueType font embedding.
The included README file contains a fairly detailed technical description of what this is, but here’s what it does in a nutshell:

* Print quality should be noticeably improved when using TrueType fonts
(on PostScript printers which support this feature).

* Printing may be somewhat faster (when printing jobs with TTFs, again,
on printers which support this feature).

* Using this driver to generating PostScript files for conversion into
PDF (for example, using ePDF, GhostScript and/or PMPDF) should result
in smaller, higher-quality files with better search support.

* Several fixes to improve CUPS compatibility are included (it includes
all changes previously made to ECUPS.DRV, plus some new ones).
You do need to configure your printer options properly to see some of these improvements: see the README for details.

PSPRINT is compatible with CUPS; however, it is also designed for direct printing to PostScript-compatible printers.

Article: Using Git under eComStation (Newsreader news.warpevents.eu/)

I made a quick article about how to use git.exe with the github.com service to upload code from eComStation-OS2.

http://www.edm2.com/index.php/Using_Git_under_eComStation

On this little article I practiced cloning, committing, adding files and pushing some files from eComStation to a github repository I created.

It is a very basic and entry article since I’m not a developer and I’m not used to manage source code versioning too, but I think this article gives you a general idea how to use git.

Improvements to the article are also welcome since it is on the EDM/2 Wiki.

Regards.

USBHC and USBD drivers for eComStation version 10.193 (Newsreader news.warpevents.eu/)

I have released version 10.193 of the USBHC and USBD drivers for eComStation.

This driver package is available for download from the eComStation BetaZone.

The device enumeration for devices connected to external hubs is still not
working reliably. We are still working on this problem and it will take more
time to get this issue resolved.

I have decided to release a new version now, even though the external hub
device enumeration problem is not fixed because there are other important
fixes that will benefit many users.

This version has been thoroughly tested and should work as well or better
than version 10.192.

ACPI package for eComStation version 3.22.02 (Newsreader news.warpevents.eu/)

This product is available for download to all registered users of
Software Subscription Services for eComStation. For more information,
please visit: http://class='extlink'http://www.ecomstation.com/subscription/

This is a maintenance release of the ACPI software package for
eComStation. There are no significant changes. The updates are:

* Updated to ACPICA 20130626

* Changed power manager thread so it will work with reasonable defaults
if the acpid.cfg file does not exist.

This Warpin package also includes certain eCS updates that are not related to ACPI. They are included in the ACPI distribution simply for
convenience. Nothing has changed in these eCS updates from previous
distributions except for the IBMKBD driver, which has been updated.

Link: http://www.jugendherberge.de/Jugendherbergen/Koeln-Riehl451/Portraet

- Was kostet mich das?

- Was muss ich selbst bezahlen/tun: Anreise, Getränke, Verpflegung, ggffs Übernachtung
