"I'm sure many have been wondering what's up with OS/2 e-Zine.
A minor issue is that I've had to be out of town too much. But the more
pressing problem is that we no longer have access to the servers, and
haven't had it for months.
The owners of OS/2 e-Zine (same as the owners of BMT-Micro) have upgraded
the servers and to increase security have closed off FTP access. That
means we can't get issues on-line.
Now personally, I'd be just as happy channeling efforts to writing for
VOICE (or as you can see, you can submit to OS/2 World as well).
The owners of BMT Micro actually own the rights (domain name, trademarks,
etc.) to OS/2 e-Zine. If someone is really keen on having OS/2 e-Zine,
you'd have to pay for it. I am guessing you'd be asked for around
$500-$1000USD, as the owners would like to recoup a small part of their
initial cost in acquiring OS/2 e-zine. If you're seriously interested, let
me know and I'll tell you how to get in touch.
I'd like to remind the OS/2 community that the owners of BMT Micro have
been very generous to the community and have provided servers and hosting
absolutely FREE for many years."
