Deine Möglichkeit half leider nicht weiter.
Ich habe weiter recherchiert und mir die Dateien näher angeschaut in denen diese Fehlermeldung verankert ist (rtkern.dll, vweng.dll, vwrt.dll) und festgestellt, daß alle drei die Datei
"INITSTRG.DLL" benötigen und dann im Handbuch zu dieser Datei folgendes gefunden:
Comparison
Compares two string expressions using the Option Compare statement parameters.
If not otherwise specified, the default is Option Compare Binary (case
sensitive). The result is True or False.
Special characters can be used to match strings. In support of
internationalization, the syntax options for regular expressions used with the
Like operator are enhanced.
Tip: The following are tips when using the Like operator:
If you use the ! at the beginning [!charlist], the result will match any
character not specified in the brackets, for example [!0-9] matches
anything except numerics. However, used by itself, the ! matches itself.
You use a hyphen to identify a range.
If the hyphen is to be used as itself, it must be placed either before
(after the ! if used) or after the charlist.
Using a character sequence of [ ] is considered a zero-length string.
International use of the Like Operator
Tip: If your application uses the Like operator with strings or regular
expressions, you must include the language intstrng.DLL.
When Option Compare Text is specified with the Like operator, the following
rules are applied for special characters and range resolution:

Not case sensitive.
Ich werde also die Option "Compare" von text in binary oder umgekehrt zu ändern und neu kompilieren und testen.
Die Datei "INTSTRNG.DLL" war nirgends auffindbar, auch nicht mit ftpsearch oder Metasuchmaschinen wie "alltheweb.com" etc.
Falls ich die Lösung des Problems habe, werde ich sie mitteilen. Jetzt schalte ich aber die Kiste aus...
