FotoGet/2 v0.9.11 (23.11.03) (von: GA, 13:14:44) | ^ |
FotoGet/2 is intended to be a utility to ease the transfer of pictures
between a digital camera and your OS/2 (eCS) PC. Prerequsites The camera must be accessible by a driveletter. Terminology FotoGet/2 assumes that you want to store the pictures of your camera on your harddisk in a tree similar to the following example: F:+ +- NIKON+- 20031117 +- 20031114 +- 20031015 +- Vacation +- My Car +- My Girlfriend In FotoGet/2 terminology "NIKON" is the base folder and "20031117", "Vacation", "My Car" etc are socalled subfolders. If this organisation does not suit your needs, Fotoget/2 is probably not the software for you. Note: The base folder does not have to be in the root directory of a drive. Usage Usage is (and should be) obvious and easy. There are no switches, no options or whatever, that are not visible on the main window. FotoGet/2 makes use of the WPS. It optionally creates light tables instead of folders and optionally creates shadows of subfolders on the desktop. Safety Every picture is copied to the disk and if the copy process was successful the picture is deleted on the camera. In theory it should not be possible to lose pictures. I did not lose a single picture up to now, however I am very well aware of Murphy's law ("anything that can happen, will happen..."). Todo, future, bugs - eliminate remaining bugs - EXIF support - preview - allow browsing of subfolders Feedback and bug reports are welcome.
