OS/2 PCM Compatibility Testkit V4.9

Version 4.9 of the PCM Compatibility Testkit is updated to support use of USB printer for the Printer Device Driver Test (PRINTDD), replacing support of MIDI files with WAV files in multimedia tests, removal of the LAN Distance and Print Service Facilities tests the addition of a utility to detect the presence of parallel ports, serial ports, and legacy floppy drives.

Network testing is required before your system may be listed as compatible.

The testkit may be downloaded as an ISO image from which a CD can be burned or as a self-extracting zip file. Once extracted to a temporary directory, the testkit can be installed in the same manner as from the CD.

Q. What is the level of testing that is done for OS/2 system compatibility?

A. The OS/2 compatibility test will test key components of OS/2 running on your systems. For example:

* Installation & Initialization
* Communications
* Queues/Pipes
* File Systems/File Management
* Loader/Scheduler/Switcher
* Batch Processing
* Memory
* Numeric processing
* DOS Video
* Presentation Space
* PM Desktop/Video/Exerciser/Messaging
* Code Page Segments
* Master Index
* Tutorial
* Command Reference
* Graphics Engine
* Picture Utility
* System Editor
* LAN Transports

also ein richtiger Härtetest.
Die Version 4.9 ist vom August des letzten Jahres.
