This README ADDENDA contains late-breaking, last-minute additions

to the README for the Convenience Package for IBM OS/2 Warp 4

(also called the "Convenience Package"). Because of the last-minute

nature of this file, it is available only in English.

1.0 Location of installation files for IBM OS/2 Warp Developer Kit,

Java(TM) Technology Edition, Version 1.1.8

The following installation files for IBM OS/2 Warp Developer Kit,

Java(TM) Technology Edition, Version 1.1.8 have been moved to the

java118 directory on the Convenience Package for OS/2 Warp(R)

Server for e-business Installation CD:



javainrm.exe

javainrt.exe

javainsr.exe

javainst.exe

javaintk.exe

2.0 Java 1.1.8 CLASSPATH verification

-------------------------------------

The Java 1.1.8 Runtime Environment is installed with the Convenience

Package. After installation, you should examine the CLASSPATH entry

in the CONFIG.SYS file, and ensure that it includes the following path

information:



x:java11libclasses.zip



(where x: is the drive where the IBM OS/2 Warp Developer Kit,

Java(TM) Technology Edition, Version 1.1.8 was installed)



If the path information is not in the CLASSPATH entry, you will

need to add it manually.





3.0 LSI Logic SDMS drivers

--------------------------

Current LSI Logic SDMS drivers for OS/2 can be downloaded from

the LSI Logic web site at http://www.lsilogic.com. After being

connected to this web site, click on the Support option in the

menu bar. Go to the "Software and drivers for Symbios brand PCI

host adapters" section. Under the SCSI menu, choose OS/2 and

click on the Go button. Then select the chipset or model

number of your host adapter card, and download the appropriate

driver based on the selection made.





4.0 Installing Convenience Package for IBM OS/2 Warp 4 RIPL clients

on the Convenience Package for IBM OS/2 Warp Server for e-business

----------------------------------------------------------------------

After you have installed an IBM OS/2 Warp 4 RIPL client on a Convenience

Package for IBM OS/2 Warp Server for e-business server you must take

one extra step.



Unzip the file CIDSERVERIBMLSIBM500R2UPMEXR.ZIP on the Convenience

Package for IBM OS/2 Warp 4 CD into the MUGLIBDLL directory in the

RIPL tree for the client.





5.0 Limit on number of LVM partitions

-------------------------------------

Do not create more than 120 total partitions when creating volumes

on your system with the Logical Volume Manager (LVM). Exceeding

this total might cause data loss.

Convenience Package for IBM OS/2 Warp Server for e-business CD

into the MUGLIBDLL directory in the RIPL tree for the client.





5.0 Limit on number of LVM partitions

Do not reinstall HPFS386 over an existing copy of HPFS386.
