eComStation PC: PCMCIA/Cardbus/Expresscard (from Eugene Gorbunoff)
Are you interested in support of PCMCIA/Cardbus/Expresscard controllers?

APSoft company is able to update their drivers if users agree to purchase it:

purchase the drivers.

Main problems, example:
* APSoft drivers don\'t work with ACPI
(it\'s necessary patch? OEMHLP driver, pass the code to the developers of ACPI)
* Expresscard are not supported
* It\'s difficult to select switches
* no .wpi package

Other problems:
* Is it possible reduce price for eCS users? 70 EURO down to.. 35 EURO?

ACPI 3.10 is available (from Eugene Gorbunoff)
A) Fresh news: We get more reports that eComStation works fine on 8 cores.


B) Why to install ACPI for eComStation?

You should install ACPI for eComStation to:

Common (Notebooks, servers, barebones):
* to initialize PC (the devices are not initialized on boot without ACPI),
* to use multi-core CPU (Core Duo, AMD X2). Especially, if you want run computer in APIC mode,
* device drivers for eComStation depend on ACPI,
* ACPI provides information about the computer to drivers, applications and system information utilities.

Notebook, barebone:
* to manage power management (suspend/resume/poweroff)
* to reduce power consumption

For developer:
* The main purpose of the driver is to provide ACPI interface to applied developers.

eComStation PC: Week of 3G mobile phones (from Eugene Gorbunoff)
Help us collect information about supported 3G mobile phones (modems).
