FM2 3.05.09 Released (from Gregg Young)
A package that includes FM2 3.05.09 and a warpin installer version of the FM2 Utilities has been released. Using warpin you can now install both FM2 and the FM2 utilities in one simple process.

The Utilities themselves have not been updated. So, if you already have the utilities installed and working with FM2 reinstalling them isn\'t necessary unless you change the install location of FM2 and they are not included in your PATH.

Changes include a warpin based installer, enhanced drag and drop code to avoid problems caused by dragging large numbers of files and other bug fixes (see HISTORY for a more complete list).

The new version can be found at:

SCOUG Meeting May 19, 2007: GIMP Your Photos (from http://www.os2news.com)
From: Tom Brown < thombrownDESPAM@DESPAMsan.rr.com >

It's all about OS/2. Always! Great folks and good info. And everyone is invited to participate.

Sandy Shapiro has volunteered to present this month. His topic is on the installation and use of the Gimp (which is open source software) with HOBLink. Gimp is short for GNU Image Manipulation Program, so Sandy will be showing us how he works magic with photos and graphics.

Lynn Maxson, leading the Programming SIG, wants everyone to understand that there is no one programming language that works best in all situations. The prefab, reusable component approach to programming is not what good programming is all about, and Lynn will continue to explain distinctions
between the two approaches this month.

Plus, as always, free coffee and donuts. And good free advice to help solve your system problems (how could anyone have system problems with OS/2?).
Come have a great Saturday morning with SCOUG.

New pointer sets for OS/2 and eComStation (from http://www.os2news.com)
From: Guillaume Gay < guillaumegayDESPAM@DESPAMbigfoot.com >

New 'home made' pointer sets for OS/2 and eComStation have been uploaded to hobbes.

- The Shadok Pointers v19960531 for OS/2 and eComStation

http://hobbes.nmsu.edu/cgi-bin/h-search?sh=1&key=SHADOK

- The Don't Worry Be Happy Pointers v19960531 for OS/2 and eComStation

http://hobbes.nmsu.edu/cgi-bin/h-search?sh=1&key=SMILEY

- The eBall Pointers v20070509 for eComStation

http://hobbes.nmsu.edu/cgi-bin/h-search?sh=1&key=EBALLPTR

These pointers have been inspired respectively by 'Les Shadoks' (http://www.lesshadoks.com), 'Smiley' (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smiley) and the eBall (the eBall logo is a trademark of Serenity Systems

They have been made by Me, Myself and I.

Feel free to use them, show them and make them move around your screen.

Enjoy.
