Firefox-3.5.7 uploaded to netlabs (from http://news.warpevents.eu/)

I’ve uploaded ftp://ftp.netlabs.org/incoming/mozilla/firefox-3.5.7.en-US.os2.zip />It was built with gcc-3.3.5. No special fixes for eCS/OS/2 this time,
just to keep up the line.

Surprisingly, I didn’t need the patch from bug451278 (gcc-3.3.5
parsing error), though I couldn’t see what in the sources has changed
that it wasn’t necessary anymore (to be honest, I simply forgot to
apply the patch and succeed to compile the xpcom directory). However,
the patch for bug453705 (as well a parsing problem of gcc-3.3.5) was
necessary, no other extra patches were applied. No extra readme - take
a look at the readme in the archive and the release notes. An md5
checksum file is also on netlabs.

Have fun, Walter

Please file bug reports at http://class='moz-txt-link-freetext'; https://bugzilla.mozilla.org . For help please post to the mozilla.dev.ports.os2 newsgroup on the news://news.mozilla.org newsserver

DFSee 10.1 released; Bootable USB-stick support! (from http://news.warpevents.eu/)

DFSee itself just has a few fixes and updates,

There are instructions now, and a supporting image file to create a BOOTABLE USB stick, that allows booting to FreeDOS with DFSDOS or to a Linux desktop to use DFSee linux. In both cases there is access to the memory stick to store logfiles, DFSDISK result files and even images ...

This bootable option should make it a lot easier to run DFSee on newer hardware like netbooks that may not have a CDROM or diskette drive.

It also allows you to carry DFSee with you all the time :-)

DFSee is a very powerful disk-utility with disk partitioning, filesystem and disk analysis, some file recovery and UNDELETE and smart imaging or cloning of partitions or complete disks.

More details at:
http://www.dfsee.com/dfsee/

Direct download links from the DFSee website:

http://www.dfsee.com/dfsee/dfsee101.zip />http://www.dfsee.com/dfsee/dfsee101.msi />http://www.dfsee.com/dfsee/dfsee101_warpin.exe />http://www.dfsee.com/dfsee/dfsee101_dsk.zip

http://www.dfsee.com/dfsee/dfsee10x_linux.tgz />http://www.dfsee.com/dfsee/dfsee10x_iso.zip

Or from the HOBBES website:
http://hobbes.nmsu.edu/pub/incoming/dfsee101.zip />or (after processing):
http://hobbes.nmsu.edu/h-search.php

Functional changes since 10.0

- 502G disk Made this an ’informational’ message on OS/2
- AUX mode Add warning popup if AUX mode is activated
- Bootable CD/Diskette added info on SATA legacy mode
- FDISK menu Prestore dialog added comment on restore types
- FORMAT FAT Fixed system label to contain 10.x (use VLABEL)
- MBR code Recognize PendriveLinux Multi-ISO boot from USB
- MBR NTsig Changed default to DF5ee100, eye catcher value
- MENU Format: avoid find 2nd FAT area (very slow!)
- SCAN Fix reported count when error-strategy is ’quit’
- SCAN menu Force ’-E:i’ to always retry with single sector
- STORE Use A/B instead of 1/2 as store identification
- Sw -dir EXE startup switch, file directory (scripts, key)
- Sw -screen Linux EXE switch, force screen size like 112x39
- USB-stick Run bootable DFSee ISO from USB stick using GRUB4DOS
- USB-stick Run Linux DFSee from PartedMagic ISO, on KDE desktop

Regards, JvW
