Resend: System Builds by ERACC (Resend) (from http://news.warpevents.eu/) |
[Moderator note: I apologize for resending this, but for some emailers and the VOICE web site the final paragraph and URL are messed up. Hopefully it will work this time. NOTE: if you are submitting an announcement to the VOICE list or the eCS-OS/2 News site please remove any "less-then" or "greater-then" characters which cause our news system to have a problem.]
Hi All, I have decided to showcase a few of the systems built by ERACC for clients. I am starting with orders placed for eCS systems since 2.0 GA came out. If one is curious about what others are getting to run eCS one can see these here: http://shopping.eracc.com/content/systems-purchased-eracc-ols I am not providing part details such as specific brands and models, other than the CPU used. If one wants to order a system from ERACC then one can get all the details from me once one pays the invoice. Otherwise, not. I made this decision after some eCS users "ordered" from me and asked to get a detailed parts list. These people then never followed up on the orders. I can only suspect they used my part lists for self builds since I saw them on the eCS lists talking about their new self built PCs later. I cannot afford to do research for people like that for "free". As I am not a heartless jerk, I will be posting results of individual parts we use at: http://en.ecomstation.ru/hardware.php So one will have a chance to find out what to get for self builds if one does one’s research there. In my opinion /anyone/ building systems for use with eCS should be contributing to the hardware database at ecomstation.ru for everyone. Advice for eComStation 2.0 GA users (from http://news.warpevents.eu/) |
eCo Software recommends:
A) Read eCS 2.0 GA Known issues before installation of eCS 2.0: eComStation Known Issues -- http://ecomstation.ru/ecs-rus/ecs20-known-issues.php > (official issues are described in the Installation Guide)
B) Does ACPI work on your eComStation PC? Did you tried different versions of ACPI sub-system (driver)? Please send ACPI reports (not bug-reports) to ACPI DB - this assistant is created for users and is aimed to monitor progress of the driver development. ACPI DB homepage -- http://ecomstation.ru/projects/acpitools/
C) Which applications do you deploy to desktop after eCS 2.0 install? We recommend: eComStation Essentials -- http://ecomstation.ru/essentials > read the suggestions from users - Queue page.
btw, How to switch eComStation to your language? (spanish / french / ..) -- eComStation Babylon -- http://ecomstation.ru/babylon >-> URL: http://news.warpevents.eu/en/home/news_archive/newsdetails/archive/2010/june/article/advice_for_ecomstation_20_ga_users.html -> comments: 0 [ Version for printing ] [ Send via eMail ] |
