Warpstock 2001 has come and gone, but that doesn't mean that the Warpstock organizers haven't been busy. New members have been appointed, and new officers have been elected. The new members of the Board are:

eComStation (German) to include enhancements (from Markus Ruf) |
The german edition of the eComStation, which still has not shipped, will be enhanced by some features that are not available in the english GA.

BinTec XAir PC-Card with OS/2 device driver (from Joerg Sievers) |
In the German computer magazine iX from the 'Heise-Verlag' (12/2001, p. 91) also BinTec supports OS/2 with device drivers for their XAir PC card, a card to access their wireless network system (IEEE 802.11B standard) XAir.
As an OS/2 user you have the choice for wireless LAN between BinTec and Artem. The PC Card from BinTec costs about 165 EUR for the Type II model, iX printed in their list. Hereby I wish you to say a VERY BIG THANK YOU to all of you who visited Warpstock Europe 2001 in Diepenbeek Belgium. It has caused me (us) a lot of trouble to organize it but your presence and enthousiasm surely made it all worthwhile. A complete report of Warpstock Europe will be published within a few days. The Warpstock Europe 2001 is nearly finished but now the WebCam of the Team OS/2 Trier (Germany) works :-)))
Realized with a Connectix QuickCam VC for parallel port, QuickView/2 2.02 for getting the pictures and a Rexx-Script to send the stuff to tzhe net. The camera is making every 1-2 secs a picture and if you have problems with Netscape just refresh the window (F5).
