In addition, others who have information about OS/2 and Ham Radio are encouraged to contact the maintainer of the site so that new information can be posted.

New home for MAME for OS/2 (from Marty)
MAME stands for Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator. It allows you to play your favorite classic, and some not-so-classic video arcade games (from the 70's through the 90's) on your computer.

The OS/2 port of MAME has a new home page located on the same server as Dave's Video Game Classics.

This site will be kept up to date fairly frequently and reflects the status and progress made on the MAME for OS/2 project. Check the News and Rumors page often and feel free to send me some feedback on the new page.

New Edition of Focus on OS/2 now online (from Walter Metcalf)
Topic this week: Larsen Commander: A Review

Although I'm not a big fan of file manager, Larsen Commander managed to pique my interest anyway. It is very cleverly written with a clean easy-to-use interface, yet retains much of the original Norton Commander flavour.

Ubersoft.net now has online discussion forums (from Chris Wright)
Ubersoft.net, official home of the Help Desk comic strip, now has an online BBS where fans (and enemies) of my comics strip can converge and gab. Share tech support horror stories, tales of lousy hardware and software, comment/criticize my web site, and tell me what you like (and hate) about Help Desk and it's characters, especially Binky the Cheerful Winking Paperclip.

Horror stories that I really like will probably be incorporated into future storylines.
