Warpzilla M15 (from Henry Sobotka)
A zip (~10MB expanding to ~32MB) of the M15 binaries is now available. Before
downloading, please take a look at the Readme for an idea of what you to expect.
The M16 cutoff is scheduled for midnight (PDT) tomorrow. With that, the focus shifts for a while from feature-development to stabilization, debugging and performance improvement, which also gives us a breather from chasing the tip. M16 binaries will be released in the coming weeks, by which time we may also have nailed the two big annoyances right now: the sluggishness coming from image-loading and the mail-compose crash.
Note from the OS2.org webteam: Further informations you will also find in the newsgroup netscape.public.mozilla.os2.

ThermoProtect 1.33 (from davidwei@cybermail.net)
ThermoProtect has been updated to version 1.33 and now includes some new features:
  • Now ThermoProtect will show thermal sensor #2 and #3 with slightly better detail, as it now increments in steps of 0.5C instead of 1.0C. Both I/O core and the shell are modified to add this feature.
  • Voltage output to both named pipes and file will have fixed decimal point, it will show 3 digits after the decimal point, regardless if the last one or two digits are zero or not. This makes the named pipe output seems neater.
  • Due to the last Peltier/Water Cooling disaster that I have here. (The SETI@Home ran out of things to do, and the Peltier/Water Cooling managed to lower the CPU's temperature below freezing point. When SETI@Home finally got something to do, it melted the ice formed on the CPU, which then caused a short... Good thing that it does not appear to have done real damage.) I decided that I need to have a small program that can create CPU load to heat up the CPU to prevent the CPU going below a pre-defined temperature limit. Thus Temperature Watch function was created. It runs a small timed loop that does intensive float point and integer calculation, which will heat up the CPU quite nicely.
  • EnvSetup.exe now have 2 pages for the main menu, because there's too much feature to fit in one page.

PsiFtp 0.97 (from Andy A. Porro)
I made new version (0.97) of PsiFtp you can dowload it from hobbes.nmsu.edu. Some enhancements and corrections. Add some new commands. 'rem' and 'echo' for batch files. Increased command line length up to 254 bytes. Add 'retry' dialog for multiply operation commands, such as 'mget/mput', 'backup/restore'. Now, if, for example, a file is busy, you'll be asked for 'retry' operation (Certainly if 'prompt' is 'on' ;-). You can turn off this dialog, simply switch off prompting by command 'prompt off'. Add log-file. For log-file creation, simple redirect 'stderr' to a filename : psiftp 2>logfilename. PsiPrn didn't changed at all (yet). Directory 'Lib' contains a library, some headers and an example for Psion link. Add 'resp ' command. When prompting is off, you can automaticaly control the answer 'yes' or 'no' or 'quit'. Useful, for example, when restoring files from backup. Normally, psiftp compare the files's dates, if Psion file older than PC's one, file will be always restored. Othewise you'll be asked for suggestion
'Overwrite ?'.

Changes:
  • Corrected error: when pressing 'Get SCSI bus' button in CDRecord/2 options page CDR/RW Wizard didn't change the device number.
  • NEW! Support of more than one CD copy. (UP TO 20!) - ONLY DURING CD COPY.
  • Corrected error in 'Options DataCD 1/2': now CDR/RW Wizard, when you press the 'Get info CD' button, return the right numbers needed for sessions over the first.
  • In 'Options DataCD 2/2' screen if an image file is found into the destination directory, its name will be showed in bold font and in red colour and the hint text inform you that an image file was found:
If you don't change the image file name, that will be used to create a DataCD; if you change the name, the old file will be left and a new one will be created.
