WarpIN 1.0.19 (from http://news.warpevents.eu/)

You can find it in the usual place on Hobbes:
http://hobbes.nmsu.edu/pub/incoming/warpin-1-0-19.zip />moving to:
http://hobbes.nmsu.edu/pub/os2/util/archiver/warpin-1-0-19.zip

I no longer have access to Netlabs FTP to upload it to the correct place, however it is in the /incoming directory:
ftp://ftp.netlabs.org/incoming/warpin-1-0-19.exe />and in the fullness of time it should move to:
ftp://ftp.netlabs.org/pub/warpin/warpin-1-0-19.exe

Warpstock Europe 2009 -- calculate the advantages (unofficial message) (from Eugene Gorbunoff)
Warpstock Europe 2009 is coming -- http://www.warpstock.eu/en/agenda/presentations.html
(November 13 to 15, 2009, Stralsund, Germany)

You are right, the cost of the trip to Stralsund may be very high for you. 100 EURO.. 300.. 500.. 1000 EURO.. or more.

What is the reason to spend the money?

A. Are you going make a presentation?
The conference is a good chance to
* demonstrate your applications to the users
* present success story of eComStation usage;
* share your libraries with other developers;
* learn new eComStation technologies and share the knowledge with other developers;
* present own concept of OS development;
* inform developers which software and drivers should be created;

B. Moreover, the visit of the conference gives you:

Networking
* You are meeting with other users and developers from different countries, different cultures;
* If you are a developer, then you are meeting with your clients. Ask them what do they need;
* Meet the users from your city and region. The conference may help you create Local User Group;
* Get fresh news and secret information while chatting.

Income/experience
* The visit of Germany is good for your experience, you can see how german people are working, why they are so productive.
* You are collecting information what is the trend of OS/2 development. This helps you safe the efforts and don\'t spend then time to fake goals after return to home.
* If you are a designer then watch the design of german houses, clothes, banners
* Improve your english(/deutch/dutch), no need to buy tutorials of english language
* You are mobilizing while preparing for the conference. You are generating more ideas, more code while preparing for D-Day.
* Present your program to sell it

Vacations
* If you don\'t have a report then use the trip as short summer vacations

OS/2, eCS mentioned in online News article (from http://news.warpevents.eu/)

On the occasion of the first Haiku Alpha seeing the light of day recently, the author is doing a small retrospective on formerly well-known operating systems with also pointing out that there is eComStation still alive and kicking with a recent 2.0 Silver Release being available.

Stella 3.0 (from http://news.warpevents.eu/)
The Atari 2600 Video Computer System (VCS), introduced in 1977, was the most popular home video game system of the early 1980’s. Now you can enjoy all of your favorite Atari 2600 games on your PC thanks to Stella!

Stella is a multi-platform Atari 2600 VCS emulator released under the GNU General Public License (GPL). Stella was originally developed for Linux by Bradford W. Mott, however, since its original release several people have joined the development team to port Stella to other operating systems such as AcornOS, AmigaOS, DOS, FreeBSD, IRIX, Linux, OS/2, MacOS, and Unix. The development team is working hard to perfect the emulator and we hope you enjoy our effort.

The main Stella website is at:

Ever since the move to a new server 7 months ago, neither the news nor the Hobbes incoming overview was being updated on the os2voice.org site. With the demise of the Newsletter the site had pretty much become dead.

Today the site is once again having the news sent on the VOICE News mailing list, as well as the files in Hobbes incoming directory automatically posted to the VOICE home page.

Updating OS/2 Warp 4.52 (from http://news.warpevents.eu/)

Since IBM is not longing supporting OS/2, he focused to list the last fixpacks, APARs and IBM applications available for OS/2. It is somehow as if Warp 4.53 existed (which will never happen) and which fixpacks it would include.

He is looking for feedback about this page and also if he should have missed any IBM fixpack, APAR, or driver (public or not), please let him now. The page includes information about all the fixpacks that he was able to find/see. Some are public, some are for special IBM customers and are not available for download.

Note that for this page Martin is only focusing on IBM files (except for the SNAP drivers).
