ODIN updated on Netlabs 2011-01-12 (from http://news.warpevents.eu/)

There is a new version of ODIN on the Netlabs FTP server.

ODIN is the Open Source project to provide a win32 API for OS/2 and eComStation.  Originally to allow OS/2 users to run  Windows 32 bit applications.  Now used to port windows applications to OS/2 and eComStation. The Odin runtime is a requirement for the newest developed versions of JAVA and Flash 10 for OS/2 and eCS.

ODIN website: http://http://svn.netlabs.org/odin32

Download: http://ftp://ftp.netlabs.org/pub/odin/odin32bin-20110112-release.wpi />Debug version: ftp://ftp.netlabs.org/pub/odin/odin32bin-20110112-debug.wpi

Changes:
2011-01-12: Dmitry A. Kuminov
    - minivcrt: Use the own version of _fullpath() instead of the kLIBC one
because the latter isn’t capable of resolving non-existent paths
(it allows only the last component to not exist) and it may also
unexpectedly change the current drive of the calling process.
    - user32: Fixed national character input in a foreign process when an
Odin DLL attaches to it (such as Firefox and Flash 10) which was broken
      in the previous release.
    - user32: Fixed incorrect code page translation of window title text seen
in windows created on threads other than the main GUI thread.
    - user32: Make GetQueueStatus() return actual message summary in high word
instead of the copy of the low word.
    - user32: Fixed a crash during DnD when the dragged object was moved through
the title over the window frame.

Major Major 1.63 released (from http://news.warpevents.eu/)

Major Major has been updated to version 1.63. You can download it from
Hobbes, or from
http://class='extlink'http://www.pmoylan.org/pages/os2/major.html />or
http://class='extlink'ftp://ftp.pmoylan.org/Major/major1.63.zip

Major Major (optional shareware) is a mailing list processor. You can
use it to create and manage mailing lists that let subscribers send and
receive group e-mail messages. To use it, you have to have the ability
to create extra e-mail accounts.

The main reason for the present release is a bug fix. It affects only
people using the Weasel mail server on the same machine (and only some
of them). The previous version was not always correctly identifying the
"mail root" directory where mail is stored. This can be specified as
either a relative or absolute path, and Major Major was in some cases
treating absolute paths as relative paths. It was also mishandling ".."
in directory path specifications.

Update to USB host controller drivers: usbxhcd6.zip (from http://news.warpevents.eu/)

I have again updated the USB host controller drivers USBUHCD.SYS,USBOHCD.SYS,USBEHCD.SYS.
I have now placed these on hobbes.

http://http://hobbes.nmsu.edu/download/pub/incoming/usbxhcd6.zip

/>They will eventually make it into directory:
/pub/os2/system/drivers/misc

See enclosed readme.txt for fixes.

1.) Please be aware that suspend/resume is very likely to NOT work correctly at this time. We are looking into it.
2.) USBOHCD.SYS is heavy work in progress.
3.) I have now ADDED speed setting support to USBEHCD.SYS. See readme.txt for use. Or
use USBEHCD.SYS /V for information.

Cscreenie 1.1.5 (from http://news.warpevents.eu/)

This is last announcement on the News, I have uploaded all my apps to http://svn.netlabs.org/qtapps so you can check there.  This way you see a discription what kind of program it is. That’s the only way to not forget the description about the program!

A screenshot utility written in Qt which allows you to quickly capture the area of your screen and:

Upload it to your own server Upload it to imgur or imageshack And have a link directly in your clipboard Save it on your hdd Copy it to your clipboard

When you start Cscreenie notice the Icon in the tray widget.

The cntrl keys don’t work.

If you mark a area to copy the screen it’s NOT transparency, you see only a colered screen, but it works, the author is looking @ this and hopefully fixed in next version.
