Blank display (from Don Sutter, 15:31:55) | ^ |
I had OS/2 installed and running a couple of years ago but then changed video adapters and couldn't figure out how to update OS/2.
I've since put the original video adapter back into the system (Diamond S3 Stealth). OS/2 appears to boot (splash screen and text) but ends up on a blank screen. How can I get to a command prompt so I can "setvga" and/or does OS/2 have a "Safe" mode I can boot into? [ readers: 70 ] |

Press Alt-F1 while the small white "Boot Blob" in the top left corner of the screen appears.
This should give you give you a menu after loading the drivers, where you can select to boot to a commandline (use TEDIT to modify CONFIG.SYS) or to switch back to VGA (on Warp 4, to VGA-Gradd, which is not the same as SETVGA on the commandline). |
