Umsetzung von Kinofilm (24 Bilder pro Sekunde) auf ---> NTSC-Vodeo. Aus den Filmbildern werden abwechselnd drei und zwei Halbbilder gewonnen, so daß sich 12 * 2 + 12 * 3 = 60 Halbbilder proSekunde ergeben.

A 3.5 inch high capacity floppy disc that is low-level formatted in the standard manner has 2 sides, 80 tracks, and 19 sectors per track. There are thus 2880 sectors on the disc. Each sector holds 0.5kB, which is 512 bytes, meaning that the formatted data capacity of the disc is 1440kB, which is 1474560 bytes. 1474560 divided by 1024 squared is 1.40635. The formatted data capacity of a 3.5 inch high capacity floppy disc in megabinarybytes is thus (approximately) 1.40MB. 1474560 divided by 1000 squared is 1.47456. The formatted data capacity of a 3.5 inch high capacity floppy disc in megabytes is thus (approximately) 1.47MB.

Spezielle Sorte von Host-Anwendungen und -Terminals von IBM. 3270-Datenströme werden nicht in Zeichen, sondern ganzen Blöcken übertragen. Zudem fußt die Übertragung auf der EBCDIC-Codierung, während PCs die ASCII-Codierung haben. Von OS/2 aus kann mit dem Communication Manager auf 3270-Ressourcen zugegriifen werden.
