Scribus 1.4.2 for OS/2 and eComStation Released (von http://news.warpevents.eu/)

Scribus for OS/2 Warp 4 and eComStation (Scribus/2)

In addition to Scribus 1.4.2 for other platforms, the OS/2 and eComStation build includes several bugfixes for issues specific to these operating systems, among them:

Problems with some versions of Ghostscript have been resolved.

Problems with Preferences files from earlier versions have been resolved.

Scribus no longer crashes when opening ODT files or a template.

Issues with running Scribus 1.4.x on eComStation 1.2 have been resolved.

We strongly recommend to update to the latest Qt4 and Ghostscript versions for OS/2 and eComStation.

Scribus 1.4.2 for OS/2 Warp 4 and eComStation is available via Sourceforge.

The Scribus Team is very much obliged to Paul Smedley for porting Scribus to OS/2 and eComStation. If you want to support future builds of Scribus for these platforms, please visit http://os2ports.smedley.id.au to learn how.

Thanks to the support from Serenity Systems (USA) and Mensys (The Netherlands) we have been able to test Scribus on eComStation, which helped a lot with identifying and resolving platform-specific issues.

Major Major version 1.67 released (von http://news.warpevents.eu/)

The Major Major mailing list processor has been updated to version 1.67.
The main reason for the update is to add exceptq support. It can be
found on Hobbes, or fetched from
http://class='extlink'ftp://ftp.pmoylan.org/Major/major1.67.zip />or from
http://class='extlink'http://pmoylan.org/pages/os2/Major.html />(And the screen shots on that web site have finally been brought up to
date.)

Major Major (non-crippled optional shareware) manages one or more
mailing lists. You don’t have to have your own mail server, although it
runs a bit more efficiently if you do. To host N mailing lists, you must
be able to create N+1 mail accounts. It is designed for discussion
lists, and is not suitable for sending out spam.
