| The Tesseract OCR engine was one of the top 3 engines in the 1995 UNLV Accuracy test.
Between 1995 and 2006 it had little work done on it, but it is probably one of the most accurate open source OCR engines available. The source code will read a binary, grey or color image and output text. A tiff reader is built in that will read uncompressed TIFF images, or libtiff can be added to read compressed images. | Am 20.09.2007 wurde die finale Version 1.35 der Java Movie Database (kurz JMDB) veröffentlicht.
Die Java Movie Database ist ein Java Program das die Daten der IMDb Textdateien (Internet Movie Database - http://www.imdb.com) in mehreren MySQL/PostgreSQL Tabellen speichert. Nach dem Import der Daten, kann man nach Schauspielern, Filmen, Produzenten und Regisseuren suchen. Außerdem kann man sich Filme eines Datums oder Zeitraums anzeigen lassen (Kino Planung). Zu den Filmen und Personen werden dann diverse Details angezeigt. Außerdem ist ein einfacher PDF-Export mit Hilfe der iText Bibliothek integriert. Gegenüber der vierten Beta wurde einige kleine Fehler behoben und alle Sprachen aktualisiert. Insgesamt unterstützt die JMDB damit jetzt 8 Sprachen (Deutsch, Englisch, Spanisch, Niederländisch, Französisch, Russisch, Schwedisch und Serbisch). Alle Erweiterungen der vorherigen Betas sind enthalten.
