Bisiel
was formed by leading banking software company Banksiel (51 per cent
shareholding) and Banca Agricola Mantovana
(49 per cent). Within a very short space of time, the new
organisation's customer base included not only its founding partners
but also Banca Popolare della Marsica,
Banca Popolare di Abbiategrasso and
Ubae. Cooperbanca is due to join in the
third quarter of 1996 and Steihauling from 1997.

Bisiel, which now employs more than 70 people,
offers a full range of outsourcing services, headed by a
comprehensive banking information system that embraces the complete
processing cycle from workstations running under OS/2 through to the
powerful MVS/ESA host environment. Facilities management is
available to any type of organisation that requires MVS. Bisiel also
makes full use of IBM's powerful DB2 relational database.

workstations running OS/2, and plans to convert to the full-throttle
32-bit OS/2 Warp operating system over the next 12 months.
